Q: How often does CHAMP provide the marijuana handler permitting class?
A: The CHAMP certification class is held monthly, or more frequently if there is sufficient interest.
Q: How much will the CHAMP certification course cost?
A: The four hour in-person Cannabis Handler and Marijuana Professional certification course will cost $75 and includes a printed course manual explaining Alaska Statutes and regulations regarding the marijuana industry, effects of consumption, and penalties for unlawful acts.
Q: What exactly do I get out of this course?
A: The purpose of this course is to provide proof to the State of Alaska that you have received necessary training on required practices in the safe handling of marijuana. The CHAMP Certification Course provides information on regulations and applicable Alaska Statutes, as well as how cannabis effects the human body and identifying impaired persons. This information and more is contained in the CHAMP course manual each student receives. After passing the required test, you will receive two copies of your course completion certificate, one to keep and one to present to the Alcohol and Marijuana Control Board.
